TACTICAL PISTOL AND RIFLE COURSE
POLICE ONLY

THE COURSE

This is a 2-day, high-paced, intermediate to advanced techniques and tactical shooting event based on the open carry configuration. This course is designed for officers who operate as an individual or as a member of a team, in a rapidly changing, high stress environment, involving multiple threats that must be prioritized and classified by precedence.

DAY 1

Day 1 of the course is a combination of classroom discussion and range time utilizing a semi-automatic pistol.  Discussion includes the mindset of criminals and terrorists, identification of common injuries sustained in shootings, and combat trauma management.

Range time includes real world based training scenarios involving static and dynamic combat marksmanship, extremely close quarters shooting, and reactionary target engagements, reinforced by multiple training scenarios.

DAY 2

Day 2’s instruction introduces the tactical employment of the Rifle as the primary weapon, and builds upon the skills trained on day 1.  Training rapidly moves into multiple threat scenarios involving close and extremely close quarters shooting engagements.  These engagements include diminished reactionary periods of time and restricted perception.

Day 2’s training culminates with high-stress, live-fire scenarios involving individual and team-based situations.  The course is designed to provide the “Inoculation to Stress” needed in order to survive and win armed conflict against single or multiple attackers in a dynamically changing environment.
